Help is closer than you think.
I specialize in (and teach) some of the most powerful treatments for PTSD/trauma, addiction and other presenting issues. I am the first Ontario-based Trainer of Accelerated Resolution Therapy and a clinical supervisor/consultant for matters unrelated to ART (if it’s ART related – check out consults with IS-ART).
Accessibility is a major priority: More likely than not, I can help and we can find a way to get it covered or offer a reduced rate.
I can direct-bill most insurance companies, partner with non-profits and offer affordable pay-what-you-can rates.
I can direct bill:

And may be covered by ones not listed here, that you can submit afterwards, including SunLife.
CMHA - Men's Program
I am the trauma counsellor for Canadian Mental Health Association of Grey Bruce’s Men’s Program – specifically in the Men’s Survivor of Sexual Abuse/Sexual Assault Program.
You don’t have to speak at great length about the past and all information is confidential. For more info, click here.
Indigenous Clients
Clients who have coverage through NIHB (Non insured health benefits) may be eligible to receive up to 22 sessions of therapy covered through NIHB
Military and Veterans
I am an approved provider through Medavie Blue Cross which covers military and veterans
First Responders
For any active military and veterans/EMS/fire/police first responders, the Rosenzweig Mission, the Nonprofit run by the Developer of Accelerated Resolution Therapy allows for funding for one session of ART (and sometimes one can do a lot!) but this is a good way to see whether ART is a good fit for you. You can find more info about about that here
Students
A number of student associations include health benefits, many under Medavie or GreenShield or others listed already. If we don’t cover it for you, you may still be able to get a session covered if you submit after the fact.
Pay What You Can
Finally, if none of these are a fit, not to worry. Reach out and book a Sliding Scale Consult on my online booking system.
Why?
Why psychotherapy? Why now? The answer is simple: because you can feel better – surprisingly fast. Therapy is one of the best investments you can make in your own self-care and well-being, and we are lucky that we live in a time and place where there are so many proven modalities that can help you – and if one doesn’t work – you can try something else!

Specialties
Trauma & PTSD
I am trained in many cutting-edge trauma therapy modalities including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Internal Family Systems-Informed and more.
I am the first Ontario-based trainer of ART and when I started in 2023 I was the only ART therapist in my area, now there are close to a dozen practitioners!
Addictions
I have worked in addiction in almost every way one can: addiction therapy, residential treatment, frontline harm reduction and community outreach, partnerships with Indigenous-focused treatment centres, addiction medicine, facilitating addiction groups, withdrawal management/detox and have studied addiction as an academic interest at the Masters and PhD level.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
DBT is concrete and skills-based. I have worked facilitating DBT groups for several years and often implement these skills in my work with clients!
Culturally Safe Care for Indigenous Clients
Access to culture is a right. I have worked directly in First Nation communities for several years. I have helped with trauma related to residential schools, intergenerational trauma, settlement claims, lateral violence and unique challenges faced by Indigenous people as a result of racism and colonization.
My approach is intended to complement but not replace or duplicate any practices provided from an Indigenous perspective. Clients are always warmly encouraged to discuss or incorporate any aspects of their culture that are important to them and to seek cultural supports at the same time as attending therapy, and I am happy to help refer/connect clients to any supports they require.
